Energy Assessment & Energy Efficiency Capability Grants

Boosting Productivity is a $3 million Victorian Government grants program comprised of:

• Energy assessment grant for small and medium sized enterprises (SMEs)
• Energy efficiency capability grants for industry associations, business networks, or registered training organisations (RTOs) to develop energy efficiency knowledge and skills (capabilities) in SMEs or service providers.

The program will equip 1000 SMEs with energy efficiency skills and connect them to expert advice to help them cut energy costs, reduce greenhouse emissions and unlock even more co-benefits.

Energy Assessment Grants

Small grants are available to help business with up to 200 full time employees, and spending over $20,000 a year on energy, to commission an energy assessment which will identify and implement energy improvements.

Funding is available to cover 50% of the cost of an energy assessment. The grants are offered at two funding levels: a basic energy assessment is up to $2,000 and a detailed energy assessment is up to $6,000, with access to a $3,000 assessment recommendation implementation bonus.

Energy Efficiency Capability grants

Competitive grants are provided for industry associations, business networks and registered training organisations (RTOs)  to deliver projects that build the energy efficiency capability of either SMEs or service providers.  Projects will deliver outcomes of big impact and long lasting change. This will enable more Victoria’s SMEs to improve the energy efficiency of their business.
